THE LITTLE BLACK DRESS FOR LASHES

5.8.15

Not so long ago I thought I had finally found a friend in Benefit's They're Real! mascara and didn't really think it could get much better. Then Estée Lauder's Little Black Primer found it's way into my makeup bag and I have to say, I'm impressed.

Mascara primers can be much more hassle than they're worth, especially since the majority out there are white. Yet in this sense, the Little Black Primer seems one of a kind - almost revolutionary - and let's face it, anything that has Kendall Jenner as it's 'celebrity face' is probably something that would make us all turn our heads.

The Little Black Primer is unlike many other mascara primers primarily because it's black, making it much less visible on your lashes. On first glance it's a primer, tinting your lashes black and providing a solid base for any mascara. But at a second glance it's so much more.

Using it on its own provides a very natural look with longer, fuller lashes which sustain their curl and hold throughout the day. Using it on top of any mascara (waterproof or not!) adds a waterproof top coat which not only makes your lashes last longer throughout the day but reduces smudging and flaking to those mascaras you just can't bear to wear.

Sound good? As with everything it's not all sunshine and roses. I'll admit that, as comes with the nature of the product, you will need a strong makeup remover to get it off. I've stuck by Garnier's Micellar Water and it seems to do the trick, only leaving you with slight panda-eyes in the morning, which can easily be removed. But it's a primer for your lashes, so it's bound to be hardcore!

Daily to-do list: make sure lashes look fab. Check.
